Nick Neidert dominated tonight. I wonder if there's any thought to giving him a look in September at the big league level. I wouldn't, but it's gotta at least be on their minds.

Sixto taken out after only 38 pitches tonight. Hopefully just due to his inning limit? If they're going to take him out after 38 pitches I'm thinking maybe that's his last start of the year.

from what im reading about sixto it sounds like they are limiting his innings with the hope that he can just go through the wear and tear of pitching every 5th day till the end of jax's season.

Bleday's numbers have gone from terrible to very respectable in a very short time. Meanwhile Connor Scott has gone in the opposite direction. Working on a huge 0fer right now.

Nope Neidert plan is AFL and yep Sixto is on innings limit. They both have to be on the 40 man next year however so likely will be up in 2020

              Yep.

Service time, service time, service time.

2020 schedule is also out, so assuming the last day of the regular season is the last service day, circle June 10thish, 2020 as the safe deadline. Practically, they have a long home stand starting June 19th so I think that's the call up day for them as that is super-safe and gets some home games.

You can still get the service time requirements next year while also giving him a taste of the big leagues for a start or 2 this year can’t you? Just wait however many days past the deadline next year that he is up this year. But that’s only if he needs to be put on the 40 man this offseason anyways. If he doesn’t then yes obviously don’t call him up and wait
Till he gets called up to put him on the 40 man.

We’re gonna have similar depth again next year anyways to the point where those guys probably wouldn’t be needed ideally until July anyways, so I don’t see the harm in letting neidert get a taste of the big leagues for a start or 2 at the end of the year if he needs to be put on the 40 man for next year anyways

They need to be on 40 man in 2020 but Sixto is on innings limit and Neidert is likely going to AFL so probably be cautious with them

Next year when on 40 man they can be called up at any time(Yamamoto this year)

AFL starts this year Sept 17.

                    Likely almost Locks
                    OF VV
                    SP Neidert
                    SS Devers

                    Probably
                    2 arms of group(Aiello,Stevens,Dylan Lee,Vesia,Mateo,CJ Carter,Hock,Guenther,McKenna)

                    Who knows?
1 spot open likely a bat who they wanna get a closer look at

Dunand? Stone Garrett? Pompey? Mahan? James Nelson? Jerar? Sims? Fortes?

                    - - - - - - - - - -

                    My AFL list would be

                    VV
                    Neidert
                    Devers
                    Stevens
                    Vesia
James Nelson or Fortes(depending on what AFL team needs)

I'd send Pompey, his season never really got going with the numerous injuries.

Can we send Monte? He only has 218 PA this year.

Good point, that would seem to be a no-brainer. If he does go, he's gotta be closing in on the games played in the AFL record.

U can send him but is he recovered from surgery by Sept 17?

1 thing most teams consider for 6th man is what team has already sent, most go 3 arms and 3 bats. 3 bats u don't want to be ALL OF because there might already be 6/7 OF on the roster

Usually wait till end to add last guy to see what team needs

Was 2017 Marlins Minor League POY and most in the system think as soon as he gets out of Jupiter he might show something. Plus will be 22 next year
