Banfield is doing fine and I wouldn't be surprised if James Nelson looked great in Jax next year(Mahan like)

U realize when u send guys down that most confidence get killed? All ones u mentioned are young for level
So you just scolded me for saying they're gunshy about demoting guys and then the next post you say that when u send guys down their confidence gets killed. I didn't say they should be demoted, but just bringing up an interesting dichotomy in the minor league system right now, where we've got guys in Batavia who are probably more ready for A-Ball than the guys we actually have in A-Ball.

Random observation, but just looking at Guzmans stats for his career, and i hadnt even noticed that he went from pitching in the NY Penn league in 2017 to A+ ball in Jupiter last year. Granted he was the normal age for the FSL, but thats a pretty big leap in opposing talent. He has another nice outing tonight and extended his streak of starts with 5+ innings to I believe 15 or 16. As of now he's out dueling Kevin Gausman on a rehab start. Id like to see him get some bullpen run up here at the end of the year to give him a taste of the big leagues and a little taste of coming out of the bullpen, because that's where he will likely be long term even though id still probably keep him as a starter in NOLA next year.

Also, just checking out some minor league numbers, Brett Graves and Dylan Lee probably deserve a september cup of coffee based on their seasons out of the pen in Jax.

Dugger with a really nice outing so far in Nola too. He to me seems like a guy we will use in a trade package in the offseason or next year to acquire a bat. He has solid potential and doesnt seem like some of our other guy who will translate super well to a bullpen long term. Better off dealing him for a bat and letting a team throw him out there as a back end of the rotation guy.

The minor league rotations to begin next year are going to be very interesting.

VVM's lack of power is unreal. The guy has 7 XBH's in nearly 300 ab's. 0 HR's. Somehow has 4 2b's and 3 3b's. Someone get this guy some horse steroids.
