Has to serve 2 years in Military but says this so no clue about him?
Ready, whose father, Randy, played 13 years in the major leagues, is projected to go anywhere from the sixth to 22nd round and has already submitted paperwork to serve under the World Class Athlete Program. That program allows qualified athletes to serve on active duty with the assignment of training for a possible spot on an Olympic team. Ready could serve in that capacity through June 2020, when the team is selected for that summer’s games in Tokyo.Last edited by tjfla; 06-05-2019, 02:51 PM.

According to this video interview, it sounds like he's expecting to play in the minors this year. So not sure what this means for his military commitments.

USAFA, Colo. Nic Ready Selected by the Miami Marlins in 2019 MLB Draft. He is the 10th Falcon baseball player to be drafted all-time.
Recently graduated Air Force Academy baseball player Nic Ready was selected in the 23rd round, 681st overall, by the Miami Marlins in the 2019 Major League Baseball First-Year Draft Wednesday afternoon, June 5.
Ready becomes the 10th Falcon baseball player to be drafted all-time into the MLB.
By being selected in the 23rd round, Ready is the fourth-highest MLB draft pick in program history. He is the first Falcon to be drafted by the Marlins organization all-time. With the selection, Air Force has now had six players drafted in the last seven MLB drafts.
Ready closed his remarkable Falcon career with his fourth straight all-conference honor, as he was named Second Team All-Mountain West Conference at the conclusion of the season. It made him the first Air Force player to be a four-time all-conference honoree, as he was named to the first team last season, and the second team as a freshman and sophomore. Ready was also a Freshman All-American in 2016, as well as a Third Team All-American in 2018.Originally posted by Madman81Most of the people in the world being dumb is not a requirement for you to be among their ranks.

Do they just put it off till their career is over if they have the opportunity to sign a baseball contract or how does that work?

Remember also 2 years of NO baseball means his body isn't getting beat up either. Laz Alonso is 24 in High A but didn't play for 2 years
