Well, a year an a half later the Christian Yelich trade is working out great for the New Orleans Baby Cakes.

Cody Poteet has a 2.93 ERA in 7 starts. Quick shoot the guy to New Orleans in June and let him swim or sink.

I have serious doubts that Harrison and Diaz will hit any better in the majors than Brinson did.

Harris is still K'ing over 30% of the time and has a BABIP of .430. Diaz had an OPS under .700 with lots of Ks and struggles to get on base, he is just on a ten game hot streak(OPS over 1.000 last 10 games with a .455 BABIP, .674 up to that point with his BABIP being at career norms). MLB pitching would not be kind to them IMO.

At least the AAA guys are improving. Also on the plus side, Ramirez and Dean both look comfortable at the plate for Miami (though Dean has nothing to show for it thus far).

give brinson like 2-3 more weeks of mashing and then bring him back up and hope he's regained some confidence.
