Just looking and already so far tonight brinson got caught stealing and picked off. Id be a lot more optimistic about his future if he'd shown the rest of his game as it was advertised. But not only has he been horrendous hitting but it feels like i notice more fielding and base running errors from him than anyone else. He seems like he needs till like August 1 in AAA to regroup.

On the brightside Harrison with another BB tonight and 2 SB's. He's improved his BB rate by 5% and cut his K rate by 5% from last year while going up a level. This is the type of season i wanted to see from him and I wanted to see it as he repeated AA. Hugely encouraging and if it keeps up he is a major piece moving forward as a RF who can give you 25/25 with good defense and a lot of k's but still an overall impactful player due to his loud tools. I could see something like .260/.330 OBP and .around .850 OPS with 20-25 hr's, 25-30 sb's, and good defense. A prototypical RF with really nice looking tools.

    - - - - - - - - - -

Connor scott has had a rough strt to the season overall statistically but im encouraged that he is still generating extra base hits with 6 2b's, a 3b, and a HR already, 6 sb's, and 10 walks to just 20 k's. OBviously you'd like to see it translate statistically but he is just 19 all year and i think youll start to see his numbers gradually improve all year. He reminds me of Yelich as a way too high end comp and Gregory polanco as a more realistic comp. He's still 3 years off minimum though.

Harrison's season is much less encouraging when you take the fact that he is still K'ing over 30% of the time against AA pitching and his .434 BABIP into account. It's why I can't fathom why some want him called up. MLB pitching would eat him alive, to the point that it would likely mirror Magnerius Sierra's 2018 statline just possibly with a bit higher SLG %.

The Babip is something to watch over time but I don’t think Harrison needs to be a 20_25% k guy to be a good player. If he gets to that point he will be a star, but I still think he can be a 3-4 war a year player even if he maintains this still very high k rate if it’s legit and the increase in walk rate is legit. It will be tough but his tools are legit. I agree though that he shouldn’t be up any time soon. I was even cool with him repeating aa to start the year but it looks like they made the right decision

He's hitting .282 in his last 10 and is now over the Mendoza line on the season. Small sample size, but hopefully a sign of him figuring it out.

ya, at the very least the defense seems to be ++ so he doesnt need to become a great hitter to be a major leaguer. He's also super young and 3+ years away anyways.

Monte Harrison is on pace for some pretty fucking impressive stats over the course of an entire season. The 10 sb’s already is a pretty huge surprise

Baseball America conjures up a list. ML Pipeline and Fangraphs too. So can you or I.
                            [B]
                            1) Zac Gallen. Instead of imagining what could/might be, why not credit a player for actually evolving? Gallen has put it all together and spins one beautiful start after another. His performance is near the top of all pitching prospects in baseball, so he certainly tops the Marlins list.

                            2) Edward Cabrera The lights have come on for the RH power arm ... meaning the bases on balls have disappeared. Sixto Sanchez enjoys more support in baseball circles, but wait: Aren't we hoping that he may someday put up results like Gallen and Edward already are?

                            3) Jerar Encarnacion. Speaking of the lights turning on ... the 21-year-old has come out of nowhere (the beautiful Dominican Republic, actually) to become the best hitter in the entire Midwest League. Can't criticize anyone for not noticing him earlier because he hadn't shown much of anything, but the 6-4 slugger shines especially bright in comparison to the rest of the Clinton roster. While Jerar is no five-tool player, the Marlins need the hit tool most of all.

                            4) Jose Devers At 19 he's near the top of the Florida State League in BA and OBP. He's fast and wields an excellent glove at SS. And Miami has a vacancy at that position for the foreseeable future.

                            5) Sixto Sanchez He could be ... he might be ... if only he can overcome the arm problems of the past two years.

                            6) Braxton Garrett TJS derailed things for a spell, but here he comes with that curveball.

                            7) Trevor Rogers They say lefties take more time. That's especially true when they are 6-6. But his improvement is obvious.

                            8) Harold Ramirez A very big season at AA last year has carried over as hoped. With teammate Austin Dean, he is delivering for the Baby Cakes.

                            9) Dean The fielding tool remains shaky, but he can really hit. Sneaky quick on the bases too. A former third baseman turned OF, he is now playing some first base.

                            10) Monte Harrison Baby steps for the Baby Cakes. He can run and catch and throw like nobody's business. Will he ever hit major league pitching? The jury remains out.

What they are doing at the present time is what matters most. It's the product of all things past. I'm sure everyone's list would be different.
