Or...try and here me out on this one...they've just spent a ton of resources on rebuilding the starting pitching and the hitting prospects they have invested in so far aren't what they thought they were.

    Doomed to fail.

If Trevor Rogers could become an ace that would be pretty cool and helpful.

This. if you go look at the stats of the pitchers in our top 30 on mlb.com they are almost all doing pretty well early in the year except for dugger who has only had 2 starts nd Neidert who is making his first few starts at a new level. They had a clear goal to go after SP in the trades to start the rebuild and they did well in that regard. Now they need to attack position players in the next few years

One guy im happy to see in AA and contributing is Sierra. I never understood why we rushed him last year and the cardinals rushed him in 2017 but he is still very young and he is legitimately one of the top 3 fastest guys in the league. If he can be allowed to develop and master a level rather than being rushed against older competition i think he can become a top of the order piece moving forward.

Rogers with a great start last night. Most importantly he showed control. Nice to see VVM starting to heat up too. Hasnt shown power yet but has been getting hits lately.

ya, especially if sixto isnt a bust, they are set on SP and even RP for quite a while. They need to now pour tons of resources into hitting the next few years.
