Also notable: Justin Twine has recorded at least one hit in 18 of 19 games since joining Jacksonville - with a .400 avg and 4 HR. How do you explain the sharp rise in performance? Coaching?

Fluke? Finally seeing that 2nd round talent arrive? The scouting reports haven't reached the Southern League yet? Too early to say. We have about 1550 ABs worth of evidence saying he sucks and 75 ABs saying we might actually have something.

Buying on Chris Torres rn. He’s getting overlooked because of the young guys that were promoted to GB but he’s looking great. That trade is looking beefy good.

Don't think he's getting overlooked. He's just 11 games into Greensboro. Probably need at least 100 ABs before we start making even preliminary judgements. He looks good though.

Put Roberson in Greensboro. He hasn't allowed more than 1 ER in any appearance in the GCL. See what he's got.

Connor Scott with a solid early start to GBoro. Always nice.

I'm probably behind on this but didn't see how good Tristan Pompey has been this year. He was our 3rd round pick and already batted .314 in 24 games in GBoro and is now 4 games into Jupiter. Just 21 years old but the Marlins might be making this kid a quick riser.

                - - - - - - - - - -

Just looked back a few posts and saw some mentions on Pompey so just didn't pay attention. If he can hit in Jupiter to finish the year he's a possible Top 100 prospect.

Ya Pompey fell because he couldn't hit in Cape Cod with wood bat but damn he looks great. Maybe try him at 1B next year in Jax?

No point in rushing Roberson. I would give him a start or 2 in GBoro but they could keep him in GCL and start next year in Jupiter too.

I wouldn't mind seeing a double play combo at Jupiter of Devers/Torres. Yes Isan Diaz is likely the 2B of the future but u could always try him at 1B/RF if that combo works out

Our young hitting prospects have had a very nice run over the past few weeks. Feels like every single guy is hitting fairly well for what could be expected recently.

Harrison closing in on 200 Ks. If Pompey has another good week in Jupiter I might even see what he can do in Jax.

Its good with the bad. Just like Sean Reynolds in NYPL

Reynolds leads the league in HR,RBI,BB,K and Top 10 in SB

And ultimately, both are having poor season despite decent power numbers because they're striking out at absurd rates.

To give you an idea, League Leading K totals for AA and AAA:
