Merandy Gonzalez now 3 straight starts of 7 IP, 1 ER allowed. He's finally getting that consistency back after the front office inexplicably called him up for 7 relief appearances for no discernible reason.

Gonzalez was called up because of a 40 man roster crunch. I don't think those 7 appearances will wreck his development long term. Good to see him back in a groove.

He was called up because they fucked up in adding replacement level guys in the offseason. We've slowed the development of several guys this year simply by putting them in stupid roles in the big leagues rather than having replacement level veteran guys up to just eat innings/AB's. Made no sense that he was the guy we called up to be the last arm in the bullpen for a month.
