Merandy Gonzalez back to back 7 IP, 1 ER starts. Seems that short MLB stint really through him for a spin so it's good to see him finally getting back on track. He was one of the team's best pitching prospects last year.

    - - - - - - - - - -

Brian Schales also having his best minor league season in AA this year. Near .800 OPS in AA at 22 years old isn't half bad. Those 50 walks really do stand out. I anticipate Castro is traded in the offseason and Prado retires or just doesn't get signed again. With Brian Anderson moving to 3B that'll leave a space available at 2B long term. A good showing in AAA next year and Schales could be a candidate for 2020.

Schales looks alot better then he ever looked in Jupiter but no clue what they will do with him? Isan Diaz is 2B of future,Brigman is a very solid 2B prospect(light bat),Mahan in Jupiter is offense type and Justin Twine is around too-if he hits .300+ next year in AA who knows?

Have yourself a game Isan Diaz and Austin Dean. Diaz OPS now up to .969 in 14 games in AAA. He's been solid at all levels but him breaking out in AAA would be huge. He's very projectable as a consistent force to get on base and his power ability has shown potential although sporadic. Definite 'top 10 2B in baseball' potential down the line.

Austin Dean should replace Sierra in the majors. Dean is far more major league ready at the moment and he's earned his spot given his recent play. I'd like to see him get starts as a September call up.

            - - - - - - - - - -

Another Dominican League guy doing well. Leudy Martinez with a 1.99 ERA in 40 IP. 18 years old. Marked improvement over his first DSL stint last year.

Josh Roberson should probably see GBoro. 12th round pick in 2017. This is his first chance and he's got a 1.65 ERA in the GCL. Just 27 innings and he's 22 but see what he has.

Looks like Ethan Clark got demoted to GBoro. 4.01 ERA but he had solid starts sprinkled in. Not sure why he's not still in Jupiter.

Time to send Nick Neidert to AAA. Hell, I'd argue he might be ready for a September call up and immediate starting rotation opportunity in 2019.

Definitely agree that Dean should be in the Majors. I get why Sierra is up because there's nobody else to play CF, but there's no reason that Dean is stuck in AAA while Isaac Galloway is on the MLB roster.

Trevor Rogers left his start after 3 innings...hopefully it's an innings limit thing and not an injury. Also, Devers is on the 7 day DL in Greensboro. Christopher Torres has been on fire since returning.

Only reason Galloway is in ML is because he can play CF. Dean should get a shot-kid can hit and he has to be on the 40 man so

Neidert and Torres for Gordon/Lopez,Hernandez for Phelps/Brigman for Maybin. We need to trade with Sea more!!!

As for the arms-DSL has about 6 solid arms who will likely be in GCL next year.(Leudy/Lara/Borges/De Paula/Eysseric/Palacios) Galindez looks good as a CL but little old

Roberson is coming off TJ. 3rd Rd Talent who fell to 12th because of it. Wouldnt be surprised to see him in Jupiter to start next year

They have to many 24/25 yr old arms in Jupiter so Clark got sent down. Looks like they are trying him and Brandon Miller as RP

good commentary/reporting. Seattle trades have indeed been best. Torres appears to be breaking out as maybe top positional prospect. Niedert is perhaps the top SP prospect/

Schales is definitely getting better as his career continues. Reminiscent of how Realmuto progressed during his minor league and now major league career. Hopefully it works out the same.

Don't know the story on Josh Roeder but he has a 2.67 ERA in Jupiter this year. 25 years old. Seems like a solid ball control guy.

Jose Devers has been promoted to Jupiter. Should be a good test for him at 18.
