Needed the roster spot so instead of putting him on 7 Day DL they move guys down to Batavia for "paperwork" reasons then can move him back up the day he pitches

Likely pitches in next few days

One problem with having an actual farm system means u gotta juggle it alot(which is why Denbo is dealing with it all)

Miller should have started in Jax anyway but long as he gets AB's its whatever. The kid can hit

Brinson, Harrison, I Diaz and Sierra (top ten prospects) 9-77 with one extra base hit. Re-definining slow start.

Invested in MiLB TV to watch the farmhands ... pitchers mainly. Duval looked good IMO. Really big guy with a budding mound presence, 12/6 curve that he doesn't hang. 5 IP, 4 of which were great. Three singles and a sac fly scored two runs in the other - though all were opposite field. Monte Harrison actually put a ball in play in his first ab vs. a soft serve lefty - a soft bouncer to third - which broke a string of seven straight whiffs. He then struck out his next three at bats.

Joe dunand, legit hitting prospect. if he can stick at SS (still unlikely just given his size), legit overall prospect. Maybe future 1b if he's that big?

Dunand,Mahan and Miller all can hit. Miller is LF type,Mahan is Isan Diaz 2B clone(decent defense but power bat) and Dunand has NO position but might as well play him at SS. Don't mind him staying at SS since we have NOTHING at the spot-James Nelson is better at 3B and same bat.

It is a good problem to have! Dunand,Mahan,Miller,Nelson ETA are all 2020

Not even a week into the minors season!! Give them a month or so before get worried-Don't look at stats until May 1(most guys are just getting into a groove with baseball and life)

Wittgren just started getting in shape the last week of ST which is why he is in AAA. Elieser,Straily and Wittgren should be up by end of the month so 3 guys will be losing spots
Dunand appears to have a better bat than Nelson (certainly more pop). Nelson also made a team-leading 19 errors last season.

More pop yes but Nelson was hitting around .320/.330 most of LY as a 19 yr old. Dunand is also 2 years OLDER than Nelson so the power will come around

Very true about the errors BUT Dunand would have the same amount(probably even more) for a full year

Dont get me wrong they both can hit

Also crazy but 18 of our Top 30 Prospects have NOT even played a minor league game this year(Handful are playing in majors). Gonna be interesting to see some of these rosters Mid June when guys are healthy, draft picks signed,DSL promoted and guys from trades

Our 2 SS teams already have full rosters and that is NOT even counting the 30 guys from the draft/12 or so from DSL/10 coming off injuries

good, hopefully that means we continue to purge the minors of these filler types with no major league potential.

still no Guzman in jupiter or anywhere else 7 games into the minor league year.

also, man, adam conley went from looking like a sure fire rotation guy to not even a major leaguer anymore.

Monte Harrison hitting 6th for the 2nd consecutive night. i understand the struggles but come on, give the kid as many ab's as possible.we got john norwood hitting 3rd and kyle barrett leading off. let him work through them. Isan Diaz has struggled too but they smartly kept him 2nd.

I've watched that game on my computer. The way Harrison is swinging, he should be hitting 10th! He did accept a walk and stole second and third. Niedert needs lots of work. He pitches up in the zone and doesn't hold runners.

Some of our drafted pitchers are coming around. Trevor Williams is 3-0 with a 1.56 ERA after 17 innings ... for Pittsburgh.

harrison is our best hitting prospect in the majors and the minor league season started a week ago and he is playing in AA for the first time after just a half year in A+. the only thing you love more than shitty AAAA level prospects is small sample sizes.
