Is Wittgren in AAA because he's injured?

Surprised no one took a flyer on Van Slyke for a bench role.

I feel like that team should win a lot of games in the PCL. It's not particularly strong with high-end talent sans-Alcantara, but at least we're seeing some improved depth at that level.

Wittgren is working back to full strength.

Conley starting surprises/disappoints a little. I think he should be focused on relief.

Meyer's placement at AAA is a positive.

Agreed on Meyer(Will be interesting to see if SP or RP) They have actually done excellent with pitcher placement this year. Bats not so much-don't need to see 25/26 yr olds in A Ball and guys moving DOWN levels

Ya I wish they would just put him in the pen already but hear they changed his delivery again so guess they are trying him out with it

Weird that Ethan Clark and Brandon Miller are in the pen but like seeing guys like Colton Hock/Remey Reed in the pen

Love what they have done with the pitchers in the system!! Most guys are on the right team to "test" them. Total opposite for bats. Giving guys way to many chances

What happened to James Nelson? I don't see him anywhere. I figured Jupiter for sure.

Meyer is listed as the fifth starter behind Conley, Alcantara, Gallen (gasp), and Cloyd (double gasp). On merit, Meyer would be number one. Then again, he's not even listed as a Top Thirty guy.

Nelson, last year's Marlins Minor League Player of the Year, has a minor knee injury and is being held back in extended spring training, though club officials expect him to be ready by the end of the month. Hernandez and Torres also suffered minor injuries this spring, delaying the start of their seasons, though both should appear in camp games in the near future. Yamamoto, the lone pitcher acquired from Milwaukee in the Yelich trade, is also slightly dinged up and will begin the season on Jupiter's disabled list as he rehabs at the team's complex.

Nice to know that its injuries and they aren't being held back. Expect Nelson in Jupiter/Hernandez and Torres in GBoro /Yamamoto in Jax

Doubtful he will ever be healthy but Brett Lilek is still in the system

Lilek,Garrett,Holloway,Castellanos,Beggs,Chad Smith(All talented arms) and Nelson are on GBoro DL

Crazy to see our Rookie Ball teams. No draft or DSL moveups yet however both teams have full rosters already. Amazing what depth in a system looks like and should only get better with future trades
