Ethan Clark has been a great grab so far in the Hech trade. 2.11 ERA so far, and that could even improve when he sees Jupiter. That could end up being a huge long term trade for the franchise.

Once again I'll mention that Pablo Lopez was one of the guys acquired in the Phelps trade (worth noting to give the front office credit for the move). He has a 2.17 ERA in his time in Jupiter so far. It really comes across like the Mariners panic traded him when his value was lowest. He's been great at every level outside of that start to this season and he's going to be just 22 years old when he starts AA next season. It's also awesome to see a Marlins pitching prospect who simply doesn't walk many batters, something that the team hasn't taken on in quite some time.

Trevor Richards has two 6 inning starts without allowing a run and a 2/3 IP outing with 5 ER allowed start in between. August 18th just wasn't his day, and it'll make his final season output look worse than it truly was.

Michael King in a similar situation.

Braxton Lee is still very good at getting hits.

Seeing Lopez made me want to check the other guys in the deal and how they're doing. Lukas Schiraldi has a respectable 3.86 ERA in Jupiter while working relief. Brandon Miller has an 8.86 ERA in GBoro and looks like a candidate to return to rookie ball next season. Brayan Hernandez just recently returned and is starting in the Gulf Coast League. He's just 19 years old so it'll be a while before we know what we've got in him.

David Phelps has a 2.35 ERA with Seattle and has only allowed 2 runs total in his 8 appearances so far.

Marlins got a potential long term starter in Lopez, and the Mariners got a consistently good reliever in Phelps. Seems like the rare win-win kind of trade happened.

Yeah, Lopez seems like a really nice pickup in that trade. Miller was considered the better prospect at the time, but he has really struggled. Hopefully it's just a bump in the road for him and he can rebound next season.

I'd really like to see them give Richards or Peters a spot in the rotation in September in place of Nicolino.

Lopez is the type of back end of the rotation pitching prospect I love. Might not have the best stuff, but throws strikes, works quickly, and walks virtually no one. If any one of those guys can pan out we win that trade. I still can't believe we got 4 prospects for Phelps. Seems like a huge overpay.

If anything Brandon Miller will stay in GBoro next year but wouldn't be surprised if he is in Jupiter next year. His problem is he is a flyball pitcher and GBoro is not the place for them. 11 HR in 18 Starts in Clinton and 8 HR in 5 Stats in Gboro-if he goes to Jupiter those flyballs will become flyouts easily. He is like a Straily-will do well in big parks and smaller ones will be an issue for him

Schiraldi was a throw in so whatever u get from him is good.

Brayan Hernandez was the prize of the trade for us and next year in Gboro is when we will find out how the trade was for us

Ya Pablo Lopez has been pretty good but most of us expected that when we got him. Alot of it has to do with him getting out of the CAL but like said he throws strikes/walks 1 a game and doesn't give up HR's which is a positive. This is one reason alot of guys don't look at minor league stats in A Ball anymore because u can go from an OK arm in the CAL which is a hitter's league to an ace in the FSL which is a pitcher's league. His test will be next year in Jax
