Ellington and Wittgren are in the majors now. One nice step towards getting that big league bullpen on track.

Interested to learn Boo Vazquez's story. From what I can see e was drafted in 2011 but didn't even start rookie ball in 2016. Went to Pitt, 4 year starter but didn't exactly light the world on fire there. Now as a 24-year-old has an .886 OPS so far in GBoro. One thing the Marlins seem to find are outfielders who can hit decently. Just need to work on finding solid infield prospects.

Marlins signed IF/OF Mike Aviles to a minor league contract yesterday, per Rotoworld. He hit .210 in 181 major league at bats with the Tigers last year.

Headed to NOLA eventually as the UT guy. Could be on ML Roster eventually if Prado needs more time-they would rather JT Riddle get AB's/reps in AAA instead of being on the bench

By way plan as of right for next year is Rojas as Starting SS,Riddle as UT and Hech gone

Given the pending sale, I don't think any current plans really matter.

Garrett has been working in extended spring training on getting better at pitching out of the stretch as well as throwing his changeup more often and with more command.
Youre almost as good at stupid nicknames as trump dude. Great nickname! Sick burn! Perhaps i should just be a marlins fanboy and not say anything negative about the team despite the fact that they are one of the laughing stocks of baseball and havent come all that close to making the playoffs in 15 years! You're right though, never say anything positive about other teams and only say positive things about the marlins. got it.

Guess u couldnt make the game-how was the Rays game on Mon? Fish game sucked-crappy pitching and defense

Not sure when he pitches next since the "advanced arm" they drafted is being treated more conservative than the Freedom Caucus BUT a few GBoro games this week are on Milb tv live stream so people might be able to watch his next start

Signed: RHP Horacio Acosta | RHP Kenny Koplove (released by Phillies, April 29) | 2B Mike Aviles (released by Braves, Aug. 23) | OF Chad Hinshaw (Southern Maryland (Atlantic))

Released: RHP Tyler Bremer | LHP Justin Jacome | OF Matt den Dekker

Horacio Acosta is 26 and pitched in the WBC for Colombia/ Koplove and Hinshaw are old guys we signed for some reason instead of just moving up Kjerstad to AA and Meyer to A

Actually thought den Dekker was gonna be held all year as a backup outfielder option with him likely to join when the rosters expanded in September.

Guess that's what we have Destin Hood for tho.
