Dissapointing start to the year somewhat for Anderson. Hopefully he can become a 20 HR a year guy.

Hey Jordan Holloway may actually start figuring things out after 3 years in the system. Just 1 hit allowed in his last 9 2/3 IP.

Poteet now a 1.33 ERA in his 5 starts this season. Jupiter is a great place to put up good numbers and Poteet is taking full advantage of it. Jumping up that prospect ranking fast.

isaac Galloway having a career year start in Jax. .927 OPS in 20 games played. Has never put up numbers even close to what he's doing right now in his now 10th (!!!!) season with the Marlins.

Nick Wittgren and Brian Ellington have combined for 10 IP, 4 hits, 1 ER, 14 K's to 1 BB.

They should be in the major league bullpen yesterday.

Why? They can get the same work in AAA-neither team can score more than 2 runs a game so

IF you really want to frustrate yourself look at how well Luis Castillo is pitching in the Reds farm system this year and how well Josh Naylor was hitting before he got injured.

I had no idea at the time and still have no idea how they thought Cashner was anywhere close to a solid addition, let alone the fact that they chose him over getting Hellickson for what has been reported to be less money.

Dustin Begg. 23 year old 16th round draft pick this past year. 1.29 ERA in 5 starts to open his career.

Still far too early to tell, but the Marlins may have gotten some decent starting pitching options in some late rounds of the draft this year.

I wouldn't use Josh Stabbor as an example until he gets out of the CAL League. The CAL League is what the FSL is for pitchers.

They usually do,the issue is they seem to just keep the guy in the same league and then get rid of them when they realize that the guy looked good cause he was playing against 18/19 yr olds

Understood, just bringing up his numbers. He's also still just 19. that trade was horrific even as is without getting back Castillo, but Naylor, Castillo, and Capps for no reason pretty much for just Guerrero as the only guy here still is mindbogglingly bad value. I still dont understand how they could have possibly valued Cashner as anywhere near hellickson.

Luis Castillo though with a 2.08 ERA, .89 WHIP, .213 BAA, and 25/4 K/BB in 30 innings so far in AA.

From what I've seen so far from Straily, I think he's going to be pretty good for us.

Thanks Gonzalez for putting up a terrible performance one week after I called you a 'nice find' by the front office.

Brian Anderson starting to put it together in Jax. Multiple hits in 3 of his last 5 games including a home run today. OPS up to .762. Easily the most legitimate hitting prospects left in the system.

                              - - - - - - - - - -

I should restate that. He's one of the few that I could see as a major league starter down the line. J.T. Riddle definitely could have a long career on a major league bench.
