Looks like they are going ahead with the Austin Brice "Power RP" experiment. If it works out could be up in the ML Pen soon if needed. Think David Phelps type

Garvis Lara who was the SS in GCL LY and #15 prospect in the system I guess is now a UT guy? Samuel Castro has been playing SS in Batavia

      Chris Paddack start tonight!!

Chris Paddock another 5 inning no hit start. Now 3 in a row!!! unreal. I'm guessing he's in jupiter next time out

Who knows if they do but if so he might not give up a hit the whole year. SAL/GBoro is a hitters park while Jupiter is pitcher's paradise. Yep Paddack on a 15 inning NO hit streak. 9 more K's too

Would be nice to see what he could do if they didn't pull him after 5 but can't fault them with that. Keep him healthy!!!

For all the "non" prospects we actually have a few interesting arms led by Paddack who has prolly past Peters,Castillo. Only really crappy arm has been Jarlin Garcia(injured)

Minors transactions from the 18th-23rd, c/o Baseball America:

-After being released by the Marlins on June 2nd, P Edwin Jackson landed with the Padres on a minor-league deal.

-LHP Matt Tracy was signed after being released by the Yankees on June 3rd. He was a 24th round draft pick in 2011 by the Yanks and he got into one game at the major league level least year. He was 3-1 with a 5.11 ERA at AA Trenton this year with 10 walks, 23 Ks in 24 innings. He's on AA Jacksonville's roster.

-Also signed: C John Silviano, a NDFA from Lynn College. Interesting blurb from BA: "Division II Lynn University catcher John Silviano set a Sunshine State Conference record with 31 home runs this season, and the 21-year-old is the third player in D-II history to hit 30 in a season. Silviano has previous professional experience—he played in the Blue Jays system from 2012 to 2014 as a Toronto 13th-round pick out of high school—but he qualified to play collegiately at Lynn because of a D-II provision known as amateur deregulation, which allows players to turn pro without forfeiting college eligibility."

A number of talents were released by the organization. They include:

-LHP Chipper Smith. Smith, a 38th round pick of the Marlins in 2012, pitched in four games at two levels for the Marlins this year. He reached as high as AA ball.
-C Jose Lizarraga. Lizarraga hit .246 in 187 at-bats for DSL Marlins last year, his first year in the organization.
-1B Zach Lutz. A former Met farmhand, he was assigned to AAA New Orleans this offseason. He got in just 35 at-bats this year, hitting. 086.
-2B Leisman Acosta. Acosta played in '14 and '15 with the DSL Marlins. He had a strong first year, hitting .311 in 235 at-bats, but hit just .196 last year in 46 ABs.
-SS Raymond Rodriguez. He was signed a minor-league deal in November, but I don't think he played this season.
-OF Benito Olivo. Another two-year DSL player, he hit .308 over those seasons with 18 walks, 32 strikeouts, and one home run in 117 at-bats.

Matt Tracy was on our 40 man at one point either LY or 2 years ago.

Never knew about that "provision" and actually unfair but maybe he figured something out. 3 years of Rookie ball he hit .155

Nope Matt,we claimed him from NYY then lost him back to NYY. As u can see a guy we like-looks like he is on the "DL" which means visiting Jim Benedict

                        Wiki

Tracy played college baseball at the University of Mississippi for the Ole Miss Rebels from 2008 to 2011. After his junior year, he was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 43rd round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft, but did not sign and returned to Ole Miss for his senior season.
Tracy was then drafted by the New York Yankees in the 24th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft.[1] He signed with the Yankees and made his professional debut that season with the Staten Island Yankees. Tracy pitched 2012 with the Tampa Yankees of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League and also made one start with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees of the Class AAA International League. He pitched 2013 with the Trenton Thunder of the Class AA Eastern League.[2] Tracy started 2014 back with Trenton and was promoted to the RailRiders in July.[3]

The Yankees promoted Tracy to the major leagues on April 11, 2015, and he pitched two innings against the Boston Red Sox, yielding three unearned runs.[4] Tracy was designated for assignment the next day,[5] and claimed off of waivers by the Marlins on April 18. The Marlins assigned Tracy to the New Orleans Zephyrs of the International League.[6] He was then designated for assignment by the Marlins on April 21 and claimed by the Yankees the next day.[7] The Yankees outrighted him off of the 40-man roster after he cleared waivers on June 4.

Gotta love what they are doing with these arms they are getting from teams. They get the arm and first thing they do is put them on "DL". DL is go visit Jim Benedict to make mechanics like he wants then they go to Jupiter and Jax
