Don't look at the DSL Marlins record this year-they are gonna suck

They sent all the good arms up to the GCL. Have about 2 or 3 pitching guys to watch but most of the "prospects" are bats so long as they are getting AB's and producing its doesn't look as bad as it seems

every year those DSL box scores are meaningless. more so to get those guys professional seasoning. Look at the errors when you look at their box scores, almost always a lot. like watching high schoolers play. i do recall seeing Marcell Ozuna tear that league and the GCL up way back when though. good times.

greensboro is easily our best farm team. all of a sudden there are solid pitching prospects all over their rotation plus thats where Naylor is currently. Definitely some guys to watch there

Poteet's allowed 1 ER or less in his last 6 starts. Always hard to judge these guys when they're only allowed to go 5 innings most of the time, but he's a standout this year.

Brian Anderson starting to figure things out in Jax. 8 hits with 5 RBIs his last three games. He's hit in 9 of his last 11 games. Total OPS now over .700 in Jax.

Hovis' first start in minor league ball. He had an ERA in the low 2's both seasons at UNC. Spent far more time as a reliever than a starter in college, so it's interesting they're turning him into a starter (although this appears to be a regular plan for the team).

Brice working two innings relief is certainly interesting.

Ok start for Urena in what has been just an awful all around first half of the season for him at all levels.

They can't stick to a plan for any of these guys.

Urena will be a RP in the majors however everytime sent down he becomes a starter again

Brice was a SP,they tried him in the AFL as a closer and actually looked good, then back to Starter and now back to RP? Maybe they will get him a shot in the big league pen?

Hovis no clue yet, likely just trying to get him some innings and will figure it out next year

Holy sh*t Chris Paddack. A no hitter in 5 IP after having a no hitter in 5 IP last start. 19 K's in those 10 innings too. It's obviously incredibly early in his career, but I don't think I've ever seen this good of a start before.

Paddack has as many K as he did last year in twice the innings pitched. Definitely has produced thus far. Any word on if he's developed a third pitch?

Greensboro got some really good pitchers this year. Our draft from last year has looked pretty good thus far.

Don't know myself but there's a video on miilb YouTube that shows paddacks last ab. His curveball is absolutely filthy.

Thanks dim and tj. I saw a scouting report from his draft time which stated his fastball was good and expected to improve and he had a good change. That curve looks good. Can't see a reason to keep him in Greensboro if he has another 5 starts this good.
