The MIAA Player of the Year David Gauntt was the first to be selected as he was taken by the Miami Marlins with 533rd pick in the 18th round. The All-MIAA First Team catcher hit .353 for the season with 12 doubles, 19 home runs, and a triple for a .739 slugging percentage, picking up 51 RBI. He reached safely in all 54 games this season and started every contest behind the plate.
