It has been two months, and Raudel Lazo has already jumped from Jupiter (A+) to Jacksonville (AA) to now New Orleans (AAA). What a strange journey he's had.

Always an odd sight when Telis exhibits some power. He's been on a week long cold streak that followed a week long torrid hot streak. Hopefully the home run puts him back on the track he'd been on all season long.

Ege continues to look just fine in AAA. He's in a weird spot where he might not be ready to join a major league bullpen full time yet, but he's shown solid success in AAA. Might still be some stuff for him to learn but he's getting closer to being ready.

Dexter Kjerstad, somebody who shouldn't really even be considered a prospect worth mentioning given his history, has 4 home runs in his last 3 games. Out of nowhere considering he had just 2 home runs in 158 at bats last season.

That 0 IP line for Brigham can't be good. Injury?

Oh and Scott Lyman hasn't allowed a run in 18 2/3 IP in Jupiter. He's been in the system for a while and has proven for FOUR STRAIGHT YEARS that he can pitch well in Jupiter, but every time they've called him up to Jacksonville it has been a complete train wreck. Gave up 7 runs in a single appearance in 2014, ERA over 6 in 2015, and an ERA just under 6 this year. I've never seen one player struggle so much at one level but succeed at another before like this.

Because the Florida State League is shit as far as being able to gauge development. I almost with they would sell the Hammerheads and try to get on with a Carolina League team. Granted, this might necessitate also leaving Roger Dean for spring training, but oh well.

Lazo when in rehab which is why he was started in Jupiter and NOLA had and still has tons of arms so they put him in Jax

Brigham went 0 IP because they had a 2 hr rain delay before the game started

FSL "Where pitchers look amazing and batters become nonprospects". Really only difference from past is he is NOT starting anymore.

Don't forget Jim Benedict is down in Jupiter so when u see guys down there-Tim Berry,Asher Woj,others. It is more about them getting "fixed" than anything else. Also the guy we got from Pitt in the Benedict deal Richard Mitchell has been released

3.13 ERA, 3.47 FIP, and lefties are hitting .135/.224/.192/.551

The team's left handed pitchers have a .327/.374/.458/.833 line against them, by the way. And that's including the three starters, meaning our LH RP have been even worse than that. Acting like the team is better without having him is ludicrous. That kind of thinking is making me lose my mind up in here.

Hand showed he would be a good reliever last year but they kept trying to force him to be a starter. Really not surprising he's doing well as a full time reliever.

Not surprised at all that Hand is doing well in relief. I'm just amazed at his K-rate right now. His line is almost identical to Andrew Miller's line in 2012 (his first full year in relief). How does anyone that works in this front office show their face to their peers.

I honestly doubt anyone in the front office cares. Hell, Samson made the media rounds after the BS stadium deal was leaked to show how awful it was and he seemed almost genuinely proud at how badly they had fucked the local community.

So u are telling us that this team missed on another guy because instead of trying him as a RP,they had to make him a starter? LIES!! HAHA

Still will never understand why we draft/get Lefties and if they don't make it as starters we just get rid of them.

Gboro wins a 14 inning game. 2 IF pitch 2.1 innings of no hit ball. 1 gets the Win and 1 gets the Save

Blanton and Alfonzo may have bought themselves another year or 2 in the system with the way we like to convert guys

Good lord. I just went thru all of the stats of our 4 highest minor league teams and my god we have absolutely nothing in our system. A few year sago we at least had a bunch of bullpen arms but now we have literally nothing.

AAA is terrible. Not 1 prospect on the entire team.
AA the only guys worth looking at are Brice and Anderson.
Greensboro has absolutely nothing besides Naylor really.
Jupiter doesn't have much either. We better crush this draft. Also, why in the world do we have so many older prospects on all of our teams? I understand not every draft pick can be a prospect but there are so many guys drafted last year who are already too old for prospect status. I really hate MLB's salary slotting system for the draft. It doesnt work and is a huge disadvantage for teams who aren't as willing to spend. There should be no ability to negotiate contract terms, just like every other major sport in the US.
