I brought this up earlier and someone (can't remember who) said Cox was crap/fodder in the teams eyes which given how bad our depth at third base is it didn't make any sense to me.

They went with Kolek and Anderson(who might actually be worse than Mathis as a hitter but can actually catch) over Rodon and Schwarz (Whose asking price was close to Anderson's and can crush the ball but they didn't think could stick behind the plate)
