Stone Garrett is doing well in Batavia. He'll probably see Greensboro in August.

Justin Twine is definitely not ready for Greensboro. .496 OPS on the season. He needs to go to the Gulf Coast League or Batavia next year and gain some confidence. Sucks that he seems like one of those all tools no real production guys.

Nola in Nola has a great ring to it. Also, Nicolino no bueno.

Stone Garrett and Seymour both with big games again. Will be interesting to see the Gboro OF next year with Garrett,Sullivan,Soltis,Soto likely there and maybe White and Santos from the GCL

They likely won't send Twine down but will be interesting to see what they do with him next year with Seymour playing SS to. They both are raw and need time/AB's. Likely Twine gets moved to 2B with Seymour playing SS at Gboro

Austin Nola really loves the call up to NOLA. .567 OPS in Jax, .828 OPS so far in New Orleans.

Good start by Trevor Williams. Needs more of those to salvage his season.

Here are some recent Marlins-related minor league transactions:

                    - The Red Sox organization released P Denny Bautista, who was originally signed by the Marlins out of the Dominican in 2000, and pitched in their minor leagues from 2000-2003; once a highly-rated prospect.
                    - The Mariners released P Kevin Gregg, who opted out of his deal last month. To my knowledge, he has not signed anywhere since then.

The Marlins released 2B Omar Artsen (he was listed on Batavia's roster but never played) and loaned OF Yuniel Ramirez to the Mexican League. Ramirez played for Jupiter and GCL this year.

What the hell has gotten into Austin Brice? 21 K's to 2 BB's his last two starts. He's not even that good so this has been pretty weird.

KJ Woods first game back from suspension is a home run.

Anfernee Seymour not doing half bad in Batavia. Batting .317 with 12 SB's in just 15 games (he has absolutely no power though). At this rate he'll probably see Greensboro at some point this year.

Brice has always had really good stuff. So him putting it together is not that surprising tbh.

No his stuff has been great and he has a history of striking out people. But he's been in the system for nearly six years now and has always struggled to keep his walk total down. Regardless of whether any of us believed his stuff was good or not he never had the consistency to make it, and there's a good chance he still doesn't.
