Gotta love seeing the power from KJ Woods.

I forgot about Mason Davis a bit this season so I check his stats. He's really struggled in his adjustment to GBoro. Definitely disappointing to see all the guys I was hoping would break out in Davis, Brian Anderson, and Avery Romero not the big seasons we needed from them. We really need all the hitting prospects we can get and nobody has stepped up and done what needs to be done this year. There's definitely a problem with the farm.

        Since May 23rd Anderson has a .923 OPS and a 184 wRC+. Since that same date, Romero has a .708 OPS and a 115 wRC+

It says alot about how bad his start was that Anderson has put up those kind of stats the last few weeks and his OPS still hasn't broke .700. It's a marathon not a sprint. Good to see him doing well but I was hoping he'd be a fast riser. He's gonna need just as much time as everybody else.

Yep which is why we are looking at Tucker,Cameron,Whitley,Clark in the 1st and names like Kingery,Skye Bolt and hoping that a DJ Stewart,Donnie Dewees,Richie Martin fall to #50. They want a 5 tool Bat HS Bat at 11 and a college bat at 50

The one positive is the guys in Gboro are getting aton of exp. Schales,Twine,SUllivan,Woods all need AB's and they are getting them

Didn't check the statline yet but I'm assuming the 8.2 IP 3 ER means that he was going strong and struggled to finish the 9th allowing a couple runs. Likely means the coach left him in too long.

Just checked and see he only allowed 1 ER in the 9th. Not sure why they let him try for the complete game after allowing 2 ER already. Seems like stretching him beyond his means.

Ben Holmes with a 2.73 ERA his last four starts. 1.59 ERA over his last two. Seems he's starting to turn his season around.

KJ Woods is really consistent. He gets a hit just about every game.

Nothing else I see to mention.

While not huge I'd say that's a little excessive for somebody who wasn't mowing down hitters (10 hits allowed).

Meh, there's nothing excessive about that. He was probably at 90 or under to start the 9th

He looked good in college. His numbers in GBoro aren't outstanding and I don't think he's a #1-3 in the majors potential but he's got a clean delivery, good control and some decent off speed stuff. There isn't much in terms of pitching prospects outside of Nicolino now in AAA/AA/A+ ball so is pretty much the guy I've latched on to hoping for something. Obviously he's old for low A given he came out of college, and if he even reaches the majors it wouldn't be until the end of 2017 at the earliest, but I do love the consistency he brings. I think his numbers will improve greatly next year in Jupiter.

Really, it's me just looking for some positives in the system. I wish he struck out more people, but he keeps the ball down and doesn't allow too many guys on via walks. He doesn't throw hard and has gotten hit around throughout this season, but like I said his ERA's looked good recently and he's improving as the year goes on. I'm not saying call him up tomorrow, but he's one of the few pitching prospects left that I've felt have done halfway decent this season.

                            - - - - - - - - - -

Otherwise I'm stucking talking about the Jake Esch's of the world. I really don't want to do that.
