As far as Minor League transactions involving the Marlins last week, they released P Juan Sosa. He hadn't pitched yet this year after throwing in seven total games between Jupiter and GCL last season, his first in the Marlins organization after spending seven in the Phillies'.

So Kolek. That isn't what we want.

Hey Scott Lyman has a 1.50 ERA. Too bad he's 25 years old in high A ball.

Adam Conley posting a 2.96 ERA in New Orleans. Didn't realize he was 25 already but he was drafted out of college so...

Arturo Rodriguez having a good season, but Greensboro is Greensboro. Jupiter is always the big test.

                Hey Isaac Galloway sighting.

Well that might be KJ Woods worst start of his career.

I remember having decently high-ish hopes for Robert Morey. It's a shame things haven't worked out too well for him in his career, but he's pitching well this year. 2.42 ERA in 22 IP. Not much but it's a nice start. Probably not a noteworthy prospect at this point (26 years old) but I'd love him to finish with a sub 3 ERA in AAA. We need all the pitching prospects we can get with Nicolino the only halfway decent one left in the system with Flores/Urena now up.

Nicolino had a 4.23 FIP going into yesterdays start. Obviously that'll go up. Of course, the Marlins will only focus on the ERA and deem it as a non-concerning start for him last night.

Hitters are batting .293 against him and yet his ERA is under 3. I don't know whether to be worried or just admire how difficult it is to do that.

Dietrich continues the role he's on. Mid 800 OPS now after looking lost for some time.

Jarlin Garcia with a good start. 2.30 ERA and has yet to give up more than 3 ER in a start. Good to see him rebound from a so so season in GBoro last year.

And my obligatory KJ Woods is cool post. Seems slowly but surely the power is starting to show up.

Still a fan of Holmes. He's got a lot of work and is so so this year (not to mention he's already 23) but he has good mechanics. Numbers should probably improve next year when he sees Jupiter.

                            Average PCL FIP is 4.35
