I follow the minors pretty damn closely for the Marlins, and even I looked at that and thought to myself "Who the f*ck is Isael Soto???"

He's an 18 year who put up a .700 OPS in rookie ball. I have no idea if or when we drafted him but it couldn't have been an early round pick. BA putting him in the top 10, let alone the top 30 regardless of how terrible our farm system is at the moment is pretty laughable. Especially funny they bumped out Mader who did nothing to hurt his case. While BA is obviously respected, their prospect rankings always tend to leave me confused with at least one or two players.

EDIT: Apparently he's Dominican. Still keeps my point that an 18 year old with basically no minors experience should be ranked that highly.

Obviously an international free agent. And that's some nice power he showed playing as a 17 year old. Looks like a kid to keep an eye on.

Pretty sure Soto was a product of their Dominican academy like Ozuna was

            Isael Soto

He had an ISO of 175 as a 17 yo, that is impressive. To put into perspective, Ozuna put up an ISO of 173 as an 18 yo in the GCL. Ozuna then went mental in the NYPL with a .289 ISO hence his quick rise up the prospect ranks.

He has potential, wonder if they send him to the NYPL or straight to GBO.

Nope signed and put in the GCL

Likely to NYPL but your never know with our FO. They have some OF they like(Pujols,KJ Woods,Aper, and Soltis) who will probably be up in Gboro

KJ Woods is a guy who needs Gboro if he will become anything,Aper can't hit but they like his defense and Soltis while just drafted is already 19

NYPL OF could look nice tho-Soto,Sullivan,Garrett

MLB.com has expanded the Top Prospects from 20 to 30 now

Nothing great for us BUT it does give some scouting reports on some of our younger guys

That list hurts my eyes. Also, while I like Jarlin Garcia, I never understood why BA loves him so much to put him #2. Regardless of opinions on Nicolino's future he is likely #2, although these rankings don't matter.

Anyway, that ranking hurt my eyes. So many players on that list who will never see a second in the majors, and if they do there's a problem.
