I don't watch too much high school baseball. (AKA none) So I don't really think I'm qualified to have an opinion on this.

I have seen Rodon pitch, and liked what I've seen from him, but his overuse at NC State does scare me.

I'm torn between Rodon and Jax. Initially I didn't want a HS player, but I've watched video of Jax and how he goes about himself and I am a fan. I decided to go with Rodon though because he's a college arm who will move through the system rapidly and he will look real good in the rotation with Jose, Heaney, Alvarez and Eeyore.

        Rodon or Jackson for me

I wouldn't touch a HS arm at #2. Go Rodon and if he is gone then Alex Jackson

When is a player such as Rodon eligible to come up to the majors?

As soon as he signs a contract.

Oh wow. Reason I ask is because I saw a Jon Heyman article that mentioned that he could help us in the second half, I'm just not sure if he meant this year or next.

He meant this year, but that's unrealistic.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rodon is in Miami by September 2015, but more realistically, he would be on the Heaney timeframe, so that'll be June 2016.

I think a late summer callup in 2015 is somewhat realistic.

Rodon or Kolek. I'll take Rodon though because he's the best college SP prospect since Strasburg.

I don't know much about Jackson, but I just don't feel good about taking him. Doesn't seem to have that "wow" factor you look for in a top 5 pick.

I want Rodon because I want to have an opinion on who they draft. I can't have an opinion on some 18-year-old whose YouTube videos I've watched for 20 minutes.

Pretty much. For all I know Jackson is Barry Bonds mixed with Joe Mauer. I just like Rodon and in regards to Kolek 100 MPH fastballs and a .35 ERA catch my fancy.
