Solid start from Heaney. Heard he was hit somewhat hard and struggled at times, but that's a nice statline to end up with (especially like the 7 K's 0 BB's. Shows how even in his bad games he's pounding the strike zone).

Wittgren is really f*cking up this year. It's a real shame.

Austin Nola is on quite the role. He's hit in his last seven games, with six of them being multi hit games. Good stuff.

Trevor Williams with a decent start. Looks like he didn't strike guys out but I'll take 6 IP 1 ER anyday. Wasn't expecting much after we drafted Williams but he's molded himself into a really nice prospect. 2.67 ERA in 10 starts this year.

Felix Munoz probably needs to get a call up. He's shown he can handle Greensboro with ease. Unfortunately for him Rosa is clogging up Jupiter and Burg is doing alright in Jacksonville (Ryan Fisher, the other 1B in Jupiter, is doing terrible though, but it's not like they'll send him back to Greensboro).

Colin Moran with another one of his consistently bland one hit games.

Does anyone know how big Brent Keys really is? He was 6'2 210lbs since we drafted him however this year he is now 6'0 185lbs

Moran hit his first home run in Jupiter today. Currently 3-5 with the homer and 2 RBI's.

He started off slow in Greensboro too so hopefully this is the start of him breaking out a bit.

Realmuto's done nothing but hit this year. Very encouraged by his progress. Bringing back some of that promise that existed after his Greensboro season.

Bour has been awesome this year. Nearly a third of his hits have been doubles and he's added 6 HR's on top of that. That 24/20 BB/K ratio looks damn good as well. Should mention his splits are insane (OPS'ing over 1.000 against RHP, under .700 against LHP).

I've been disappointed with how the team has handled Barnes somewhat. I'm all for being careful, but he dominated AA in a short span last season, got sent back down to A+ ball and is doing nothing but hit once again. He's 24 right now (since he's a college guy), and while I love keeping catching prospects on a leash, Barnes has proven himself a capable utility guy who can fill any position and would really benefit from a half season shot at catcher AA (with Realmuto going to AAA and Skipworth getting the boot).

If everything goes well Realmuto eventually becomes the backup/every other day catcher to Salty and Barnes finds a regular position at 2B or becomes the super useful utility guy ala Bonifacio. I'm not calling Barnes the second coming of anything, but he's put up .365+ OBP every season he's been in the minors. If he could produce the same numbers at AA and maybe even AAA, I could see him being a guy who could challenge Dietrich for the long term 2B job going into mid 2016.

                    Terrible game by Suggs.

I also remember reading an article where Ryan Newell was praised heavily by his Batavia coach. Newell was a 7th round pick I believe in 2012 out of college. Guy has impressive numbers for the most part. Strikes out guys, doesn't walk too many, and has posted a 3.14 ERA this year. There have been a few older guys in Greensboro with really solid ERA's this year. Looking forward to see if any of these guys break out when given the chance at the next level.

Skipworth's first 3 hit game since July 26, 2012. He hasn't struck out in 10 consecutive plate appearances, that's probably the first time he's ever done that.

he's hitting .263/.317/.605 in day games!

Zephyrs Twitter said he threw 45 pitches in the 4th and really labored. Don't know if that played into the decision or what.

It was mentioned in last week's thread, but the Marlins organization released LHP Josh Spence, who had been in AAA. He had a 3.97 ERA in 11 games in relief this year, giving up 13 hits in 11.2 innings, with 7 walks and 12 strikeouts.
