It's definitely great to see him doing well but I'm holding off on getting too excited.

His .203 ISO is very good, but his .353 BABIP worries me consider his 6% BB rate and 21.5% k rate.

An .860 OPS as a 22 year old in AA is great to see no matter how you want to cut it though.

His 21% K rate was inflated due to his very bad May. He has been much better with strikeouts since. I do agree on the rest. Like Hugg said, 15.7 K% since May 30th.

Nice to see Marisnick getting some approvals. If anyone is interested on how d'Arnaud's season is going

A great hitting catcher is a great hitting catcher. They're pretty damn hard to find in the majors today.

I still love to see Marisnick playing so well this season. I always felt Marisnick would end up being one of those toolsy guys who wouldn't be able to put everything together. Since the start of June he's been jolted himself to 1B alongside Yelich's 1A. Always felt like Marisnick would be a wild card towards making the trade salvageable, but with the way all the prospects we got back are performing we're on our way towards winning the trade.

While improvement is important and very good to see as it likely means adjustment, I prefer to look at the total picture when making a judgement. Is this simply a hot month, or is it the Stanton-esque adjustment of going from bad in AA to a monster in AA? We'll have to see.

But considering his career rate is 18.5%, I imagine his true talent is somewhere in between those numbers for strike outs.

Is Marisnick now 1A and Yelich 1B? One has really improved as the year has gone on, the other not so much.

Yelich was sucky before he went on the DL (unrelated) and both were injured to start the year.

shitty to the tune of an almost identical OPS as Marisnick in AA.

                            Yelich also has a lot better BB/K (0.42 v.s. 0.29) and a lot higher ISO (.250 v.s. .200). Marisnick is BABIP loaded.

                            Yelich still numero uno
