Buhach Colony senior Daulton Jefferies was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the 39th round of the Major League Baseball Draft on Saturday.
Jefferies was the 1,162nd pick of the draft.
Baseball America had Jefferies listed as the 224th top draft prospect this year but signability was an issue. Jefferies has a baseball scholarship to UC Berkeley.
Jefferies' older brother, Jake, plays for the Marlins' Triple-A affiliate in New Orleans.
