      MLBPipeline #19 Prospect

      Scouting grades: Fastball: 60 | Curveball: 50 | Changeup: 40 | Control: 45 | Overall: 45

After Suggs set a school record with 13 saves in his junior year at Arkansas, the Marlins selected him 73rd overall in the 2013 Draft. He's solidly built and earns praise for his bulldog mentality on the mound.

Suggs comes right after hitters with his fastball-curveball combination. His fastball can get up to 98 mph, but he has more typically thrown in the low 90s as a professional. His curveball gives him a second solid offering and he's begun working on a changeup to give himself a third pitch against left-handed hitters, but he'll likely make a living off the first two offerings.

Suggs doesn't always repeat his delivery well, and his control suffers as a result. If he can find a way to throw more strikes, his stuff is still good enough for high-leverage situations.

      John Sickels #20 Prospect
      20) Colby Suggs, RHP, Grade C: Age 23, supplemental second round pick in 2013 from University of Arkansas, posted disappointing 5.09 ERA with 47/25 K/BB in 58 innings in High-A. Threw as high as 98 in college, not as hard last year due to some mechanical issues though he pitched better late in the season. Yet another relief arm who could contribute.

In Greensboro, at 23, after pitching in Jupiter last season, so that's promising.

Yeah Suggs isn't a real prospect anymore (well, not unless he goes on a tear and makes Jacksonville by 24). No idea why he's 20 unless Sickels just couldn't think of anymore people.

He is in Gboro to work on a new delivery. Like says he can't repeat it so they changed it.

Suggs is a 1 inning arm who can help the pen eventually

Sure he can but this FO seems to like to build guys up.

See Josh Hodges. Was in Jupiter, changed his mechanics and sent him down to Batavia(Pretty much start him over)

By way he is now on the 7 Day DL
