-RHP Clay Hensley was released by the Reds organization.
-RHP David Aardsma, released the previous week by the Marlins, landed on his feet: He inked a minor-league deal with the Mets.
-RHP Carlos Zambrano gets another chance, this time with the Phillies.
-Long-ago Marlin RHP Miguel Batista was let go from the Blue Jays organization.

-As stated elsewhere, once the Marlins re-signed IF Gil Velazquez, it made IF Wilson Valdez expendable and he was released.
