this past week the prospects have really been unbelievable. Fulton, Meyer, Bleday, burdick, Cabrera, eury, Misner, Nicolas, Mccambley, Conine. Last years draft is unreal.

and yes i agree, i think there are a lot of guys who were really hurt by not having real game action last year and its not being taken into account enough. Especially for the guys who were drafted last year or the year before.

        Pitching continues to be ridiculous.

I’ll be fascinated to see what the prospect sites have to say about M.D. Johnson, Antonio Velez and George Soriano. They certainly legit prospect numbers. Johnson and Velez are a little older.

Neidert and Cabrera need to up for the rest of the year.

Curious what's going on with Eder. They're being very careful with him, in fact they've been more careful with him all year compared to the other 2020 picks. He's still effective but only threw a little over 50 pitches.

M.D. Johnson now has a 1.36 ERA at Beloit. Batters are hitting .162 off him this year.

Over his entire college career, Eder threw just a total of 92 innings. I believe that is why he is being developed cautiously. As a comparison, Leiter and Rocker threw 110 and 122 innings for Vandy this year alone. Eder's high for a season was 39.

ya lee is right, at this point given everything all these guys have shown, its just about playing it relatively safe and getting all these guys into the offseason healthy not only for their long term health but also because it will give us complete flexibility when deciding who to deal this offseason. Im hoping pablo comes back soon and pitches well for exactly that reason.

I'd like to have a rotation of Lopez, Cabrera, Alcantara, Rogers and Hernandez for the whole month of September, maybe easing Alcantara's load with some Thompson/Neidert starts. Elieser will be outstanding tomorrow vs the Cubs.

it really speaks to how good and how high of a ceiling our SP depth is that neidert is so far under the radar. He is a legit back end guy eventually for some team. We're gonna have a few guys like that who could be sneaky good pickups for other teams in the next year or so. Him, Elieser, and Garrett could all be good options for a team needing back end arms.

George Soriano is having an Edward Cabrera type breakout season and we barely talk about him.
