That AA rotation is awesome. Meyer is comprehensively out performing Asa Lacy. Hope at least 2 out of last year's draft pan out. Signs look good. Fingers crossed Fulton is better next year with the usual post TJ control issues worked out.

the fact that our AA rotation has 4 draft picks from last year alone is pretty crazy. What a draft last year is turing out to be. Meyer, Eder, Nicolas, and Mccambley all being in AA by August of the following year after the draft has to be close to some of the fastest progression a draft has ever produced given the much smaller draft last year. Just great work and excited to see them the rest of the year.

Even more impressive considering there was no Minor League season in 2020, so they had to wait almost a full year to make their professional debuts.

Dax Fulton with seriously good stuff this afternoon. 5 IP 1 H 0R 0 BB and 10 K. Very low pitch count too. Looks like Marlins have a couple dandies in Perez and Dax ... with Luis Palacios looking good at Jupiter too.

Damn, if Fulton puts it together, watching him and Perez ascend the system is going to be fun.

Good day for our system. Burdick, Conine and Johnston all going deep twice.

outstanding outings from Fulton and Velez, another good outing for Meyer.

Antonio Velez from what I can tell is an undrafted free agent out of Florida State. A little old for High-A but had good numbers even before today’s gem.

I know that minor league news is hard to come by, but remember when the Marlins used to have a prospect named Ederr? He last pitched on July 22, exactly half a month ago. I'd hazard a guess that he is being rested perhaps. His last three outings in July were all atypically rough. But not a word about it ...

With how bad our catchers have been in the minors I am happy to see that Jan Mercado had a fantastic July (.924 OPS) after a horrendous start to the season. He is still K'ing a ton so it probably isn't anything sustainable, but it is better than anyone else has looked.

getting conine for johnathan vilar has a chance to be one of the best trades this organization has made in a long time. We will see how this plays out but more and more its looking like our long term OF is gonna be Sanchez, Bleday, Burdick, and Conine with one of them as the DH. Really excited to see those 3 guys come up in the next year or so and see if they can do it at the major league level. Each brings an interesting skill set. conine is a little stanton esque with huge power but huge k's. Bleday is the more pure hitter with the best plate discipline, and Burdick is a mixture of the 2 with great power but what seems to be an all around game. If those guys can pan out it will be enormous for the long term state of this lineup. Conine has been nothing short of amazing this year and really has not missed much of a beat in being promoted from Beloit to Pensacola.
