Bleday has been awful, something has to change.

Meyer and McCambley continue to impress.

one of the signs of promising pitchers in the minors is the ability to clearly not have your best stuff and still limit the damage by sheer overpowering stuff. meyer has done it several times this year, eder did it once or twice, and Cabrera did it last night.

Man if Conine could somehow cut the strikeouts down and maintain his power he'd be a monster. Projecting his numbers over a 162 game season, he'd be on pace for 51 homers.

Thanks for sharing your personal ranking. Mine is somewhat different, of course, but I tend to place the most significance on actual and recent performance.

                    1) Edward Cabrera
                    2) Jake Eder I will lump commentary on both the top two, because they are both focused on improving command. I fully expect both to be rotation mainstays next season. Their K rates put them over Meyer and Sanchez.
                    3) Zach Thompson I'm 70 so I don't see his being 27 as a drawback. He struck out 11 Nats last start, and they are the most veteran lineup in the NL East. He is one more great start away from being the most talked about pitcher in the league ... and that's at Atlanta tomorrow night!
                    4) Meyer
                    5) J Sanchez He's the only position player in my top ten. Troy Johnston would be the next.
                    6) S Sanchez I don't even like putting him in my top ten ... but there is talent concealed beneath all that blubber.
7-12) McCambley, Nikolas, Perez, Soriano, Neidert, Garrett

Good stuff gee. Did Eury Perez not have enough innings/appearances to make the ERA list?
