It's a great park. I live about 30 minutes away and get to about 10 games a year.

Live about half a mile from the Winston-Salem Dash, a White Sox affiliate, so I hit up several games a year there as well. It's also a brand new excellent system. Both are two of the better A ball stadiums I've ever seen.

Sweet. We aren't sure where we'll live yet since it's a year away but we are looking at Cary, although I hear the Wake County school system is hard to get a job in. Durham Bulls look like they'll be my closest team but I'm excited at how close the Hoppers are

Wake County Public School System has been shitty. They were in real hot water a couple years ago with reassignment plans. A lot of mad parents. And Cary is nice.

I don't mind driving elsewhere. I'll drive up to 30 minutes so I just have to find a place and find what counties are around there.

It's a great stadium. Really helped their downtown area out a lot. A bunch of decent bars nearby too. Charlotte just approved to build a similar stadium Uptown which is awesome (opens 2014)

Also, Cary is a very nice area.

I feel like there are a bunch of Marlins fans just on this message board in NC. We may have to do a SFM get together at a Hoppers game one night or something.

Cary looks great and it looks like I'd have access to several counties to teach in within a 30 minute drive (though I could be reading the maps wrong). And there's a baseball card store.

Looks like Dunkin Donuts is few and far between up there though. Gonna be a problem.

That's what Krispy Kreme is for my good sir (assuming you want doughnuts.) And Cary is nice, you have Cary Town Center, which has a ton of shit. Their "mall" kinda sucks though, but Crabtree would only be like 10 or 15 minutes away from you.

Same thing happened here with our hockey arena (and then the baseball stadium that followed). Turned the worst part of downtown into the best. I think such things have a big impact when planned properly.

The problem is the locations where they just assume the arena/stadium will fix everything and don't do any external planning.

Um, I like the Hoppers hats [/on topic]
