    Marlins 2011 Rule V Draft Preview

    It's a month away, but let's look at who the Marlins will have to decide to protect or not for the upcoming Rule V Draft. Basically, who is eligible this year are high school guys drafted in 2007 and college players in 2008.

    Tom Koehler, RHP, 2008 College
    Dan Jennings, LHP, 2008 College
    Peter Andrelczyk, RHP, 2008 College
    Jake Smolinski, LF, 2007 High school
    Kevin Mattison, CF, 2008 College
    Paul Gran, SS, 2008 College

    I'd guess that Koehler, Jennings and Mattison are locks. The Marlins' 40-man roster currently stands at 35.

          Marlins select outfielder Donnie Webb off of Cleveland's Double-A Roster. It was in the minor league phase.

                Meh, it's usually shitty.

                  yes, but normally we'd be making lists of top 5 guys we would want and be excited tat we might sign a Mike Megrew and then we'd read up that he was once a top prospect and get all giddy and then he would get shelled in spring training and we'd be all sad
