8/1 - 8/7 Minor League Game Thread

Given what we heard about him out of high school, I'm slightly dissapointed in the relative lack of power, given league and park and all of that, but he's also a 20 year old catcher putting up a .760 OPS with decent BB and K rates, so I can be patient for the power. At least he's not Skipworth, putting up power and nothing else.

And all of those things go doubly so if he's truly a + defender.

If the second half of this season is true to the marks of his improvement then he's got a +182 ISO. And that's definitely acceptable, especially with a .302 average.

I like Morey, but he's actually been pretty bad this year.
