  • Round 37 | Jacob Ehret | RHP | San Dimas HS (CA) | NOT SIGNED

    Discuss.
    --------------------
    6'3 185

Jacob Ehret is a 2011 RHP/1B/3B with a 6'3'', 175 lb. frame from San Dimas, CA who attends San Dimas. Lean athletic build, room to fill out and add strength, long easy arm action on the mound, good downhill plane on all pitches, cutting action on fastball, tight spin on 12 to 6 curveball, very good life on change-up, nice three-pitch mix, good feel for changing speeds, stays inside the ball well at the plate, good hitting tools to work with, ball comes off the bat well, short to the ball, hitting tools project more with added strength, sound defensively at first base, good around the bag, feet work, very strong student.

A two-year varsity letterwinner at San Dimas High School, Ehret went 4-1 with a 2.72 ERA and one save as a senior in 2011. He logged 53 strikeouts and 12 walks in 56.2 innings.

"Jacob is a projection guy who has really good stuff and will be able to pitch right away in our program," Savage said. "He has tremendous upside in regards to his abilities."

Everything is different, but the same... things are more moderner than before... bigger, and yet smaller... it's computers... San Dimas High School football rules.
