After sitting out two full seasons due to Tommy John surgery, returned to mound in 2010 as one of Cal Poly’s top left-handed relievers out of bullpen and is expected to fulfill same role in 2011 ...

2010: Appeared in 23 games on the mound, all in relief, after a two-year layoff and earned pair of saves as well as a victory ... pitched six innings against Loyola Marymount on May 25 for win, allowing one run and four hits with two strikeouts ... earned saves against Utah Valley and Cal State Northridge ... pitched five innings for no decision in Mustangs’ 16-15 win over Long Beach State ... tossed three scoreless innings against UC Davis on May 16 ... matched his career high with four strikeouts in 1 2/3 scoreless innings against USF on Feb. 28 ... 1-4 record and 7.81 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 40 1/3 innings ... did not play summer ball.

2009: Missed entire season ... did not play summer ball.

2008: Missed entire season following Tommy John surgery on left elbow.

2007: Appeared in 22 games as a true freshman with one start -- the Big West opener at Pacific ... gave up three hits and two runs in 1.2 innings, but Mustangs rallied for 13-8 win ... compiled 0-1 record, 7.90 ERA and one save ... earned save against Cal State Northridge on April 7, pitching two scoreless innings ... in first collegiate game, pitched 1.2 innings at San Diego on Jan. 26 and gave up a home run, the only round-tripper he surrendered all season ... in longest stint of the season, pitched 4.2 scoreless innings against eventual national champion Oregon State on March 24, striking out a career-high four Beavers ... did not play summer ball.

promoted to A Greensboro

A new pitcher has been added to the Hoppers’ bullpen. Left-hander Frank Reed was promoted from Jamestown, where he was 2-1 with a 3.60 ERA in 10 games. Submarine right-hander Collin Cargill was promoted to Double-A Jacksonville.
