    Selected by the Marlins in the second round (66th overall) of the 2009 First Year Player Draft. Signed August 15th, 2009.

    Berglund attended Royal High School in California. When the Marlins visited Dodger Stadium to take on the Dodgers from July 24-26, Berglund was a guest of the team. He spoke extensively with a number of players and met manager Fredi Gonzalez and pitching coach Mark Wiley.

    Berglund's fastball has been clocked at 94 mph. He went 5-2 with a 1.58 ERA and two saves in 11 appearances his senior season.

    He's on the GCL Roster, but on the 60-Day DL. Anybody know what's up?

          Dunno how you did, we've talked about it a few different times on here. He's out for the season though.

            Just thought I'd give an update on Berglund. He had labrum surgery prior to last season and missed the entire year. He may not pitch this year either. According to the injury reports, it has constantly said "3+ Weeks." It apparently has been like that for a while, so his timetable for this season is TBA at best. It's likely that 2012 is when we'll see him in game action.
