Bradley's not even fast. That's an awful comp.

      I've read he's got 70 speed.

He doesn't. He's average speed at best. He's plays strong CF because of his reads off the bat and positioning.

I've seen him play in person multiple times and have a good friend on the SC team.

That's odd, I've read more than one that has him at 70, who would you compare him to?

Well, he's a grinder. Average tools across the board, but they play up because of his work ethic and understanding the game.

Numbers sucked this year, but he was playing hurt. Then he started pressing because he wasn't producing making it even worse.

He's never fully tapped into his power potential, but from what I've been told he puts on a show in BP, so it is there.

I'm not really big on comps to other players. He's not gonna be a superstar, but I would be absolutely stunned if he doesn't become a productive big league starter.

I've read that he has Jim Edmonds like instincts fielding. So basically everyone wants a CFer that is almost MLB ready.

Well, I'm not gonna lie, I just want us to pick him because I've been following him for 2 years now and have met the kid.
                --------------------
Of course, he's also still hurt. And he may be a bitch to sign because he's still gonna want the money he would have gotten before he got hurt.

So, we're not gonna take him.

I feel like an idiot for not realizing the draft was today.

I'd personally like Henry Owens. Haven't really looked at some prospects like I have done in past years, so I won't make too many judgements right now.

Don't care if it's high school or college, we need to find some good talent in this draft to restock our minor league system.

                    - DBacks possibly taking Swihart at 7 with an arranged deal
                    - Cubs kicking the tires on Speck
                    - Pads close to a lock to take Spangenberg at 10
                    - M's taking Rendon again
                    - O's still very much liking Archie Bradley
                    - Nats would take Hultzen if available, even over Bubba

                    • I fully expect the Fish to take a toolsy prep outfielder in the 3rd round who has low upside, 10+ rounds ahead of where they are projected to go. Just because.

                      • Per BA, apparently quite a few teams are pissed off because they were told Speck wasn't draft eligible by his agent. However, MLB just sent out a letter stating that Speck is, indeed, draft eligible. This is why nobody has scouting reports on him. Very interesting situation to keep track of.

Speck is some Cuban Pitcher. Apparently Cubs may take him at 9...
