But he is a very progressed college starter and I think every scouting report I've read said he is going to move fast. Probably farther along than Olmos and James. I don't see the worry when it's a high draft pick who already commands 3 pitches. This isn't Miller who was still learning to pitch and needed delivery adjustments. Maybe he doesn't have the sheer upside of some guys, but hey, nothing wrong with developing Gaby Sanchez's compared to Jason Stokes.

I think we have to lop him over "the relievers" until he isn't viewed as a starter. Not sure how you can put any bat in the system left above him either. He's an unknown, but pedigree counts.

Counsins did end up having a decent year in Trips. (.285, 14 HR 49 RBI in 118 games.) He finished the year great, having a .355 average after the all-star break, including a .328 and .355 average in July and August, respectively.)
However, I still don't think he can be an everyday outfielder. Maybe a decent comparison to him is former Red Sox prospect Brandon Moss?

I don't think I was sugar-coating anything. He's been horrible before the break and very good after for his entire career.
