Can't believe the skiplove after all his shittiness

Id say it's more lack of love elsewhere.

And he is a catcher and still young. It's not out of the realm of possibility he doesn't improve. Catchers are historically late bloomers

His AFL campaign (.267/.333/.483) was pretty promising given that he's only 20 with only 7 ab above A ball. If we develop a catcher who can put up an .800+ OPS, count me in.

I'm surprised at the lack of variance with this selection. I mean, I voted Skipworth as well, but the limited or non-existent votes for Marinez, Cousins, Ozuna, Koehler, and Rasmussen surprises me.

I guess the surprise is based more in the tendencies of some posters (Elih is the best one!) than in the merit of the mentioned prospects.

                  Ozuna is best

I would bet 50 dollars that he has a better career (MILB and MLB) than Skip does.

                        Ozuna could easily flop.

                        This year:
He struck out a third of his plate appearances. (104 times in 314 appearances)
                        He walked only 19 times.

He has a lot of power but he really needs to make more contact and develop an eye. As long as he improves next year on those things and really plant himself as a prospect next season.

I really dunno who to go with next

originally I was thinking jhan/ceda back-to-back, but 1) massive control issues 2) both are horrible against LHB. I don't have much faith in either of them of being awesome bullpen guys.

Ozuna has probably the best upside but jay already covered him

                          Osvaldo is complete opposite

Not the biggest fan of Koehler

Cousins had a bad year in NOLA

Don't like rating a guy with barely any pro data in Rob Ram

                          probably go Ozuna

Counsins did end up having a decent year in Trips. (.285, 14 HR 49 RBI in 118 games.) He finished the year great, having a .355 average after the all-star break, including a .328 and .355 average in July and August, respectively.)
However, I still don't think he can be an everyday outfielder. Maybe a decent comparison to him is former Red Sox prospect Brandon Moss?

I can't believe Ceda will only be 24 at the start of the season. I thought he was at least going to be 25. He really needs to have a good season this year to keep any prospect status.

Marinez is younger and definitely can't be dismissed yet. He only has 18 IP out of A ball. I think he just needs to gain experience against more advanced hitters and continue to get work in to improve control and his pitches.

Cousins will be 26 on opening day. His year in AAA was decent. He lacks prospect status and he is likely just a 4th outfielder.

Osvaldo is likely an average middle infielder at best.

Koehler is a 4-5 starter at best.

Elih is comparable to Petit or Taylor. He's a AAAA guy.

Ozuna definitely has the best upside but he is the furthest away and requires the most work to be anything of value.
