I assume as a former HS QB he's got a pretty good arm too

Rams’ Dewitt picked by Marlins in 13th round

Published: Thursday, June 10, 2010 8:43 AM EDT
Southeastern Community College outfielder Kentrell Dewitt was selected in Tuesday’s 13th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft. Dewitt, a former athlete at Green Sea-Floyds (S.C.) High School, played his freshman season at Southeastern Community College this past spring and started drawing interest from pro scouts early in the season.

Dewitt carried a batting average above .300 the entire season and led Coach Scott Johnson’s Rams in home runs with four. He generally batted third or fourth in the SCC order.

Along with his hitting, Dewitt has been noted for his range in the outfield, his throwing arm and his base-running abilities.

SCC assistant coach Daniel Rabon said that Dewitt indicated Tuesday that he would probably sign with the Marlin organization.
