Wooster, an outfielder for Alvin College, was selected by the Florida Marlins in the 12th round with the 377th overall pick. Rogers, a pitcher for Galveston College, was taken by the Cincinnati Reds in the round with the 847th pick.

Wooster was selected by the New York Mets in the 44th round of last year’s draft but opted to remain at Alvin for another season. That decision probably made him a bunch of money, as this season he hit .415 with nine homers, 41 RBIs and 50 runs.

Wooster had been ranked the 77th best junior college baseball player for the MLB Draft by Perfect Game USA earlier this spring.
