This is just a straw to gauge the interest of inserting a Cup system into the current format. It has no standing and a yes vote does not endorse everything in the paragraph below.
Example of how it would work:
2008 teams would be ranked using 2007 records for seeding in each league. The tournament begins with the season and occurs when each team in the bracket plays each other on the regular season schedule. The winner would have some sort of perk such as a simple title, $5 million in cap for the following season, a top prospect, etc. etc. etc.
There could also be a Cup for the worst teams in the leagues.
