It is time for a quick trip around the league for the latest rumblings and grumblings from around the CSBC.

The last few days have seen ownership changes in Arlington and Portland as former TBBC Commissioner and perennial heartthrob Flummoxed J. Lummox and resident right-wing windbag Festa took over the Crypt Keepers and Ducks respectively. While the details of the ownership change in Portland are being kept very hush-hush by the league and Festa, the reason for the Arlington change appear to be Junifer's inactivity.

On the trade market, Anchorage is putting the feelers out on the big lefty CC Sabathia. Talks on an extension have stalled and a source close to the negotiations characterizes Anchorage's offer as 'bush league.'

The Slaughter is reportedly going to take the best offer on veteran outfielder Gary Sheffield. Milwaukee has reportedly expressed interest and has dangled a mid level prospect.

In New York, the Nationals have gone as far as scouting in the Frontier League in their search for Robert Abreu's replacement. Someone close to the situation informs me an MVP-level talent on a West Coast team is in the Nationals' sights and a deal could come soon.

    Gossip

I spoke with the director of the San Diego League of Tampon Suppliers earlier today and he classified the recent tampon shortage in the greater San Diego metro area as 'disastrous.'

The league will not suspend or fine Honolulu owner Sandroimbuto after being escorted out of his own stadium earlier this week for drunkenness, indecent exposure and disorderly conduct. An eye witness told The Honolulu Times Sandro began to yell at opposing player's from his seat near the home dugout following a meltdown from the Hoops' bullpen. Umpire Joe West intervened and ejected the out of control owner and warned the Hula Hoops dugout. However, the incident did not end there. Imbuto, who was visibly drunk, ran out on the field and stripped down and began to do the helicopter (a motion of the hips where the penis spins in the motion of a helicopter's rotors) on top of homeplate in West's direction. It took stadium security several minutes to subdue Imbuto and escort him off the field, boxers in hand.

Sin City is currently overstocked on tampons, we are co-ordinating with San Diego's city council to formulate a relief effort.

All the Muck That's Fit to Rake 12/19/2009

            SWIFT: BOSTON, YOUR MOVE!

After a lackluster sim that saw the Nationals fall behind the Boston Micks by 1.5 half games in the Teal League East race, NY owner Swift officially threw down the gauntlet and acquired superstar slugger Mark Teixeira from Cleveland.

A source within the Boston front office has described the atmosphere as calm and relaxed. Both teams are heavily pursuing a front-end starter. Milwaukee's Carlos Zambrano is a name both teams are believed to be in on.

This rivalry which a source close to the New York front office has described as 'friendly' should put a spark into what has been a dull season thus far in owner to owner confrontations (San Diego's PMSing aside).

The Teal League East race is one of new and old colliding. DColts, a relative newcomer to Marlins fansite OOTP leagues has carefully constructed one of the deepest line-ups in the Teal League. Swift, a veteran of both the Conine Baseball League and the Teal and Black Baseball Consortium, has built yet another juggernaut destined to go deep in the play-offs and remain a threat in the Teal League for seasons to come.

Meanwhile, there is speculation Pittsburgh's acquisition of Travis Hafner may be a temporary one. An inside source tells me PWGs has told one owner, the Poconos will deal Hafner for prospects if the team fails to finish above .500 in their next two sims.

In Colorado, speculation is rampant Mainge is prepared to jettison starter Kevin Millwood for prospects. San Diego, Sin City and Seattle are said to be in on the veteran right-hander who has posted a 3.15 ERA for the floundering Coal Miners.

Portland is not taking offers on third basemen Alex Gordon. Sources tell me four teams have expressed interest in the talented super prospect but Ducks' owner Festa has been steadfast in his refusal to even discuss a potential deal.

Vancouver has not returned many PMs regarding veterans Roger Clemens and Roy Oswalt. The Cannons, sitting 9 games out of the Wild Card race spoke with Cleveland earlier today regarding Oswalt but talks did not generate any potential deals or packages.

Friendly? Who called it friendly? Second place is like kissing your sister; winning is the most important thing in my life, after breathing. Breathing first, winning next.

                    BOSTON LANDS HARANG
                    SWIFT'S CHALLENGE MET

DColts' response to the challenge from New York-- Aaron Harang. Shortly after New York completed its traded for first basemen Mark Teixeira Boston owner DColts negotiated an agreement that sent right-hander Aaron Harang to Boston from Philly in exchange for a group of prospects that includes Jair Jurrjens.

Those close to negotiations say Boston contacted atleast Colorado, Portland and Philadelphia late last night. Shortly after 11:00PM, Boston and Philadelphia came to terms on the Harang trade in principle on AIM.

One anonymous owner contacted me through PM with a message that simply said, "Fip got fleeced lol"

Talks with Portland and Colorado lasted for nearly two hours and did not conclude until well after Boston's acquisition of Harang. Boston was reportedly targeting Portland's Chris Capuano and Colorado's Kevin Millwood. Several two and team three team proposals were discussed including a deal that would have sent Kevin Millwood and Chris Capuano to Boston and a group of prospects including Troy Patton and Ryan Zimmerman to Portland and Colorado, respectively.

The Micks intend to pursue another middle of the rotation starter to solidify what has been a shaky back end of the rotation.

Philadelphia reportedly contacted atleast three front offices about flipping the Boston prospects shortly after the Harang trade was consummated.
