Help!

Ok, I downloaded OOTP8 and the league file to the laptop I'm using most, but now I can't figure out where to save the file at.

Help?

go to the OOTP main folder, make a folder titled "saved_games" extract the league file and put it in there

I did that and nothing happened. So I closed OOTP and restarted it. now it won't even start up. I just get a message that says:

"ootp8.exe - Fatal Application Exit

APP_Framework::Startup - unable to load any skin"

so now the game won't even open. Damnit.

It works now, but I still can't get it to recognize the league file. Stupid.

Make sure you didn't extract the files into another folder inside the save data. I accidently do this every time (Because I never choose "extract here" when unzipping a file, but "extract to *folder named after filed*").

Basically, go to your saved_games folder, then open up the CSBC.lg folder. If there are only folders in there, there's a problem. If there's also files, then it's something else.

If it's only folders though, there should be another folder titled CSBC.lg. Open that up, copy all the files from it, go back to the first CSBC.lg folder, and paste the files there.

Ok. Here's what my folders look like:

Program Files > Out of the Park Developments > OOTP 8 > saved_games > CSBC.lg

Is this the correct way?

Both. Files like "Injuries", "Messages", etc and folders like "import_export".
