MIAMI -- Josh Johnson picked up his 10th win, and the Marlins blasted three homers to beat the Braves, 6-3, before 13,518 fans at Land Shark Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Marlins' ace had another quality start, holding Atlanta to three runs on eight hits over six innings while striking out one and walking one. The right-hander was hurt by the long ball, as Casey Kotchman and Garret Anderson each hit a home run, but he made up for it by hitting a big fly of his own. Johnson's shot came in the fourth, as he crushed a 1-1 pitch over the center-field wall for a three-run jack, but he was not the only one providing offense for Florida.
One day after blasting a two-run double, Hanley Ramirez continued to pound Braves pitching. The shortstop drove in the Marlins' first run in the bottom of the third with a two-out RBI triple to right-center off Braves starter Kenshin Kawakami. Two innings later, Ramirez belted a first-pitch changeup over the left-field scoreboard for his 16th homer.
Two batters after Ramirez's blast, Dan Uggla ended Kawakami's night with a towering homer to left field. Atlanta's starting pitcher finished his outing after allowing six runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings, striking out four and walking three.
The Marlins' bullpen protected the lead over the final three innings to clinch a series win over its National League East rivals.

Hanley got a lot of love on Baseball Tonight.
