Mazza having himself a funny season. 2.97 ERA in AA but only has 2 wins to his name. 7 starts this season where he's gone 5 or more innings and allowed no runs.

Welcome to Jupiter Merandy Gonzalez. More strikeouts next time would be great though but otherwise nice start.

James Nelson still doing well this year. Can't say I'm not a bit worried about his transition to Jupiter next year given he's been relying mainly on his hit tool (although 27 doubles is nice), but him being 19 years old will give him some time to grow.

What's up with Brayan Hernandez? Looks like he played in three games for Batavia. Was promoted to Greensboro and then put on the DL without playing for them.

Gonna say hurt, they took him out of a game and nothing since "promotion" to Greensboro. Kinda weird but for some reason Batavia doesn't register for the DL list. Braxton Garrett was sent to Batavia but is on the GBoro 60 Day as was Hunter Wells and Brett Lilek/Humberto Mejia are both injured in Batavia but are nowhere to be found? They also have 2 guys marked as Suspended??

Might have to do with roster limits. I think A Ball teams can have more spots than Rookie teams. If u notice NO guys are on the 7 Day DL in rookie ball, just 60 Day guys(Saying they are done for the year) with arm injuries. So if a guy gets hurt or u wanna rest them u move them up and it opens a spot up for another guy. They signed Bubba Hollins so they had to make a move to get to 35 guys so looks like Hernandez was hurt so they moved him up and put him on the DL. If u have Hernandez,Wells,Garrett,Lilek,Mejia on the 7 Day DL in Batavia it takes away 5 roster spots

Class A-Advanced and Class A teams are limited to 25 active players with a total of 35 players under control with additional limitations in regard to prior minor league experience. Teams at lower levels have 35-man active rosters with limitations on minor league service time. A team's reserve roster consists of injured players on the disabled list, those who are restricted or suspended, or who are otherwise temporarily inactive.[1] Major league players on rehabilitation assignments do not count against active roster limits.[3]

Doesn't really apply to us since we don't sign/develop guys but some teams have 6 Rookie Ball Teams since they have so many guys.

Tyler Kolek in a new role today-RP but results still the same

                        0.2IP 1H 3R 3ER 4BB 0K 5WP ERA is now 29.45

We should see if he can go back to Shepard HS for Rehab. Fits in well tho with the rest of our pitchers who can't throw a strike

Still a solid fan of Michael King. His ERA has been in the low 2's since June.

Peters with his first start this season allowing more than 2 ER.

                            Kolek still sucks.

Ethan Clark accumulated 82 pitches and went just 3 2/3 innings but didn't allow a single run. Funny start.

Nicolino doing well once again in AAA. He's forever stuck in that weird spot of 'too good for AAA but not major league good enough'. I don't know if it'll happen in Miami but he seems like a classic Brad Hand example all over again.

Austin Dean is batting .316 (Austin 3:16 gimme a hell yeah!) in AA this year. Not a full season but surprised that has gotten missed by a lot of us. He's just 23 years old still and definitely seems like one of those guys that could breakout in the majors similar to what Realmuto did. He's pretty solid across the board, just needs to become exceptional at something. Definite player to continue to keep an eye on (he feels like a lifer in the system).

Brian Anderson continuing to enjoy that AAA call up. Without a doubt the team's best hitting prospect and don't be surprised if he starts next season with the major league squad.

Also shoutout to the front office for Sam Perez's transition from reliever to starter. Wouldn't expect a guy who bombed in GBoro to open to transition so well to a starter in Batavia, but there he is with a 1.88 ERA. He'll be moved along slowly without doubt, but will be interesting to see if there's an improvement in his GBoro performance next year now as a starter.

Beggs/King should be an absolutely lethal combo in Jupiter next season. Think that'll be the moment when they start getting notice on the Marlins prospect rankings.

Ive been fooled by Nicolino too often. I really thought he had good potential as an efficient back of the rotation guy in a great park for his style but he just cant get it done in the big leagues. Hopefully he is just another Urena kind of guy where he eventually figures it out.
