    • I don't feel like the Nats will let up on us cause, ya know, Loria.

          • Hey, the Rangers have already been eliminated. Who would have thought that at the beginning of the season? I know they've be depleted with injuries, but still.

Most patient team in NL? Would you believe #Marlins? Lead league with 3.88 pitches per plate appearance. #Cubs, #Mets, #Phillies next.
Young guns know how to work the count.

              • given the list though, clearly there's no correlation between seeing pitches and being good

                • I assume we've always been pretty high with how much we strike out, though I'm too lazy to verify that claim.

                    Very lazy research:

Those 4 teams rank in the top 10 in the MLB in striking out. Cubs are 1st, Miami is 2nd, Philly is 7th and Mets are 10th.

Miami and Mets also rank top 10 in walks (8th and 6th respectively) so there is that.

                    • With Saturday's loss, the Marlins have officially been eliminated from the National League Wild Card race. It was a great run, boys.

                        • Too bad we can't keep.playing the Nats for the rest of the season so we can lose the rest of our games by 1 run.

                            • No one, actually.

Had an outstanding weekend. Coached my boys baseball team Sat morning. Had my aunt and girlfriends mom over for homemade pizza on Sat night. Totally had my way with my girl after our guests left.

Watched sports in between sushi/laundry/unpacking/sex today.

Just think it's SO MARLINS the way this year is coming to a close.

It's the year of devastating injuries.

                              And Nathan Eololvdi
