    That's probably not fair. But I'll definitely stick with him bringing back nothing of significance.
    You have to imagine they are asking for Nick Franklin. Marlins have a lot of extra pitching depth in minors to make that happen as Turner probably not enough, but he's a good piece in a deal.

      That would be pretty cool.

        They seem to have targeted someone. They talked with Arizona about Hand and probably mentioned someone which Arizona then asked about Turner. They have told teams that they will listen on Turner but only if they are blown away

        They have talked to Seattle alot during the offseason with Nick Franklin's name mentioned so the 2 teams are not strangers at all

        It looks like either Turner or Hand will be dealt tho

              I'd hate to get rid of Dietrich.

                Loria hates him and if u get a Franklin no need for Dietrich with Franklin at 2B and Moran ready June of 2015. I mean Dietrich could not be in a deal but gotta think that if Seattle said Turner,Dietrich and a lower level prospect for Franklin we wouldnt jump all over that

                  You'd hope they'd play Franklin at SS and Dietrich at 2B.

                    Trade a package built around Turner for Nick Franklin in a heartbeat. Course, the Marlins probably won't.

                      Don't put too much stock in a national report that the Marlins are actively shopping starter Jacob Turner. According to a National League front office source, the Marlins told him Turner is not available.

                          If Arizona, gotta think Gregorious or Owings. Likely the former though.

                            @pgammo: Marlins Thus. gun readings:Fernandez 94-98, Marmol 94-96, Dunn 92-94, H. Rodriguez 96-100. This is a daily thing

                            Btw, I don't see the hype surrounding Nick Franklin. Can someone explain?

                              Good offensive SS prospect. Not Hanley or anything but he's shown fairly good on-base skills and decent pop.

                              He's probably a huge upgrade over Hech.

                                Not to split hairs, but I would think Franklin settles in longterm at 2B
